Agree With God And His Word

Every failure in the believer is a failure of faith; and the failure of faith is the failure of the Word or insufficient word of God. There is only one foundation and source of Faith, the Living Word. Until our actions and reactions become one with the Word, our faith will not produce results

In putting your faith to work, one thing to do is to AGREE with God’s word. God and His word are one. We must agree with the Word, not what feelings are telling us. Feelings and emotions are not always true, they lie to us. The reality is the truth of God’s word not what we feel. Feelings come and go, trends come and go, but God’s word is eternal.

Amos 3: 3 [KJV]
Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

The verb “agree” means to think or say the same thing as the other party. It expresses harmony between two or more people. Hence, to agree with God’s word means to be in harmony with His word; to think what He thinks, do what He does and say what He says, then we can be one with the Word.

To agree with God’s word means you know the mind of God concerning a thing and that you are ready to bring yourself in tandem with its mindset.

There are 3 areas you should agree daily:

  1. Agree with what God says about Himself in His Word – (Read Luke 1 : 37)
  2. Agree with what God says about who you are and what you have.
  3. Agree with what God says about your situation

When the angel of God informed Mary she has been chosen to carry the Saviour; though the whole message didn’t sound real to her, she came into agreement with the Word of God delivered by Gabriel. Her response was “Behold the handmaid of the Lord. Be it unto me according to thy word”.

If Mary did believe the words spoken to her by an angel, and the word produced results in her life; how much more “The Sure Word Of Prophecy” given to us. We have a better promise! We have a sure word of prophecy. What we have can not fail. It is an ever abiding, ever increasing and ever eternal word.

Agree with God’s word, don’t argue with God’s word. The blessing of the promises of God and His word comes to us when we are totally receptive to it. Believe everything God has to say about you. Believe and embrace God’s love for you.

Believe what God’s says about you. The word says, you are the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21), it says you have been accepted in the beloved (Ephesians 1:6), it says the greater One lives on the inside of you (1 John 4: 4), it says there’s no condemnation for you (Romans 8: 1), it says all your needs are met and supplied (Philippians 4: 19), it says as He is so are you in this world (1 John 4: 17); what else could be greater than these? What assuring words could be more glorious than these.

Embrace God’s view of you, recognize your true identity in Christ, and trust in how God’s word defines you. If you don’t see yourself through the lens of His word, the enemy will attempt to redefine you. Without the understanding of your true self in Christ, the enemy will dictate your identity.

DECLARATION
I know who I am and I agree with every detail of God’s word concerning who I am. I trust God’s word with my life. God’s word is working in me and producing results today. I submit myself to the Lordship of the Word and I bring forth much fruits in Jesus name, Amen. (Please spend more time to pray in the Holy Ghost)
