It Is Working For My Good

Romans 8: 28 [KJV]
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

There is nothing good about sickness, lack or death. Until Jesus returns and conquers Satan once and for all, sin and sicknesses will continue to drag its poisonous tentacles across our world, damaging and destroying everything in its wake, but God is ultimately powerful; He is able to redeem and restore anything for our good and his glory.

All things may not be good at the instance, but God will use all things to work for our good. God will always see to it that He gets the glory in every situation.

The first thing to note in this scripture is the certainty of the promise. Notice how the verse begins: “We know.” This is not conjecture, this is not happenstance, this is not perhaps, this is not maybe; this is ironclad certainty. “We know that all things work together for good. The Greek word is “eido”, it connotes awareness.

The first thing to note in Romans 8: 28 is the awareness of the promise, the second thing is the completeness of the promise: “We know that all things work together for good. It’s an absolute certainty.

Paul isn’t promising safety or uninhibited good times. The point being made is this:  you can count on God to use a bad situation for good. This is different from the thought that God will keep you from bad situations. Not true, at least according to this verse.  It is already assumed a bad situation has befallen you, but God won’t let it have the final victory.  God speaks last. He has the final say. God redeems the bad by using it to create good for us.

Sometimes, God will not stop the fire, He will make you fire proof. He did not save the 3 Hebrew men from the fiery furnace, He made them go through it and the fire had no effect on them, they were fireproof. Glory to God!

God could have saved Daniel from being thrown into the lions’ den, but He allowed his enemy do their worse to teach them a lesson that some people can not be eaten up by lions.

Job said, even though He slays me, yet I will serve Him. Be resolute in your conviction about God and his promises. Some things happen to us to prove the weight of our faith and our love for God. Every faith you profess will be tested, but the trial of your faith will eventually produce something more precious than gold.

Jesus could have resisted the sufferings, cruelty and the death of the cross, but God wanted to show the world that He has power of death, for it was impossible for death to hold him captive.

In whatever situation you find yourself, your response and reaction will determine the outcome. Don’t go through that phase of your life as a victim, but as a victor. Don’t fight to have victory, fight from a place of victory. It does not matter what happens to me, my response will always be; greater is He that is me than he that is in the world.

Romans 8: 28 is a message of comfort. We have gained assurance that God is on our side. You find hope that, situations and circumstances are heading in a positive direction.  You offer it to someone else to bring them up. It is a message of comfort and hope in the ability of God to save, deliver and to make all things good for us.

DECLARATION
All things are working for my good. All bad situations are turning into a testimony for me. I refuse to fear or fret. I am God inside minded and I win always. I am not a victim of any situation, I am a victor. Before the battle ever started, I have won already. Glory to God!
