Don’t Box God, Let Him Loose
Many individuals wish for God to intervene in their lives exactly the way he did others or as He has done in different circumstances. They often pray, “Oh God, please bless me or help me prosper like this person; I long for the success this man has achieved; I desire the same anointing that Mr. So-and-so possesses.”
Don’t get me misquoted, there’s nothing wrong in rightly coveting good stuffs happening in the lives of people around you; but God is not fixated to replicate his works the same way; God cannot be boxed; He cannot be limited to a method or one pattern of manifestation. We can get inspired, tutored and fired up by those ahead, but in each of us resides all of God’s possibilities.
God does not change, but His methods change; His modes of operation are the same. With Moses, God used his hands to work wonders; by the hand of Moses did mighty works, opened the red sea, brought out water from the rock. But when the baton was passed to Joshua; God walked with his legs; the method changed. Same God but different method. As soon as their legs touched Jordan river, it parted into two and was driven back.
God told Joshua after Moses’ demise …
Joshua 1: 3 & 5 (KJV)
3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Take a look at the heroes of faith; Abel offered unto God a pleasing sacrifice; Noah prepared and built an ark, Enoch pleased God by walking with Him; Abraham obeyed God. All these heroes of faith documented in Hebrews 11 did different things; same God, but different dimensions.
Even in Jesus’ healing ministry; he never healed everyone the same way. To one who was paralyzed, He said; arise and take your bed; to another who was bedridden also, He said; your sins are forgiven; to one who was blind, He touched their eyes, to another, he spat on the floor and made a clay; even the dead were not raised in the same manner We can see diversities of manifestations and operations in the life and ministry of Jesus. The same God, but different dimensions.
What God has prepared for you is not the same He prepared for others; our lives, purposes, assignment and calling are different. Many a time, we are fixated in one direction and blinded to the wisdom of God, and other times; we attempt to tell God how He should want we want.
1 Corinthians 2: 9 – 10 (KJV)
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
Our concern and focus should be what God has done for us in Christ and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in us; and whatever would be revealed in and through us will be as a result of His word at richly work in us and through his Spirit leading and direction. Don’t live someone else’s life, don’t copy and paste. Be inspired, learn and thank God what what is doing in others; but your assignment is unique.
Your concern is not “How will God it do or When will God do it”; your ultimate task is to allow the Holy Spirit reveal to you the deep the things of God. The deep things of God are more than what the eyes can see or fathom; they are being prepared for you; that’s why you don’t compare your life with someone else. God is bring a new protocol and order in your life. Don’t box God with own analysis, let Him do job unhindered in your life.
Ephesians 5:17 (KJV)
Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
My job is to understand what the will of God is for my life; and the will of God is known in the word of God. God’s word is God’s will. God’s word reveals God’s will. When our heart is established in God’s word by study and mediation; we would gradually and definitely come to know that we already have; we have the highest and the best – Christ in you the hope of Glory; and that nothing is new again except that which has been provided in Christ.
We have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus, and we have been enriched by Him in all things. Of a truth, Christ in us and God’s word in us is enough. While we wait, we rejoice in the glory of God! Slowly, but surely we are making progress! Glory!!! Don’t box God, let Him loose in your life.
DECLARATION
I choose the way of God and I am patient with the process. I open up myself to what God is doing in me and I maximize the moments. God is rich unto me in all of His realities; I am fully blessed in Christ, my God given portion and He is at the center of all things. His word is my life, focus and anchor and I fulfil His plans and purposes for my life. Glory to His name! (Please spend more time to pray in the Holy Ghost)
