Turn Your Worries To Worship

The energy used in worry is so great than when converted to something better, we will have a more meaningful life. Worry is a great energy drainer. Worry saps joy, life and strength. The goal of worry is bring you to a zone of unbelief, doubt and depression. Overthinking is one of devil’s tools against God’s children.

Jesus warned us about the effect of worry …

Matthew 6: 25 – 27 (TLB)
25 So my counsel is: Don’t worry about things—food, drink, and clothes. For you already have life and a body—and they are far more important than what to eat and wear.
26 Look at the birds! They don’t worry about what to eat—they don’t need to sow or reap or store up food—for your heavenly Father feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than they are.
27 Will all your worries add a single moment to your life?

Often times we value the things of life more than the gift of life. We work so hard to get the things of life that we wreck our health in the process. Worry has made a lot of lives miserable such that they no longer find joy in their existence.

The system of this world thrives on a passion for uncontrolled desires, uncontrolled desires eventually leads to worry; worry breeds doubts, doubt breeds depression and depression breeds suicide. People take their own life when they have lost every sense of meaning to life.

You have a right to desire good things, to desire money, a good life, marriage, job family and more, those are legitimate desires, but don’t let legitimate desires become uncontrollable; you don’t have a right for uncontrolled desires, you don’t have a right to worry; worry has a progression, the end goal of worry is to make your life miserable.

Philippians 4: 6 – 7 (MSG)
6 Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.
7 Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.

What do you do when worry sets in? Turn your moment of worry to worship. Shape your worries into prayer and praises to God. The easiest escape route is to turn the moments of worries into worship, praise and thanksgiving. Cultivate the attitude of gratitude. Place Christ at the center of everything, He is enough for us!

What seems to be a terrible situation will turn to be joyful moments, what seems to be not enough will become more than enough. Value the gift of life more than the things of life. The fact that you are alive is a proof that something big lies ahead of you and that God is not done with you.

Proverbs 17: 22 (KJV)
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Ephesians 5: 19 (KJV)
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord

Worry breeds sadness and weakens the body. Replace the energy you exhaust when you worry and turn it to moments of worship. Be a worshipper, practice gratitude; listen to spirit filled music, charge your atmosphere with joy and drive away sad spirit. Make melody in your heart, sing to the Lord a new song and the joy of the Lord will fill you from the inside out. You must be intentional about this!

DECLARATION
