Prosperity: A Different Perspective
Prosperity is not a frivolous matter. The devil is the god of this world’s system, when you start talking about money or the prosperity of the believers, the devil is really stirred up in anger because you are talking about money being taken out of his domain.
When the devil sees God’s children prospering financially and increasing in wealth and godly riches, it makes him really mad.
Some believers’ mind have been clustered with garbage and negative impression about prosperity. They think … “anytime I have some financial difficulties, God must be trying to teach me something”. God doesn’t have to teach us a lesson with poverty; it has never been God’s method of operation.
Psalm 35 : 27 … “Let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant”.
God never hates it that you’re broke, whenever you prosper or do well financially, it brings God pleasure.
There is a prosperity that can come from the world’s system, but the world’s system prosperity is a vicious one and it brings sorrow, but the blessing of the Lord and the prosperity God bestows on us is void of sorrows and pains. It’s a blessing with peace and long life to enjoy it.
God is not against prosperity, He is against prosperity having you. God wants you to have money, but He does not want money to have you. Money is very powerful, and an uncontrolled desire for it makes it an idol.
3 John 2 (KJV)
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
This scripture clearly shows us how financial prosperity is a blessing from God to every believer. God’s intention and desire is that we prosper and be in health, and the rest of the verse says … “even as thy soul prospereth”. This means that you will prosper in proportion to the prosperity of your soul, the state of your mind – and that comes based on your understanding of the Word and your obedience to that Word (basiccally as you renew your mind)
You can never believe God for something when you don’t know if it’s God’s will for you and how to receive it.
More than just having a covenant with God, you need to be an active doer of the Word so that the blessings contained in the Word will be released on you. But if you don’t know the Word, you can’t be a doer of the Word, and you will only prosper in proportion to the prosperity of your soul – that is, your understanding of the Scriptures.
Prosperity is the total well being of your spirit, soul and body. Prosperity is not an option, Prosperity is necessary for you.
Prosperity is one of those major packages that accompanied your salvation. Prosperity was bought and paid for by Jesus Christ. As soon as you become convinced of that, divine and financial prosperity will become a daily reality in your life. What a blessing!
