A Prophet’s Reward
Prophets are for the preservation of the people. God uses his prophet to bring people to their inheritances. Prophets carry inheritances and releases blessings through “SENT WORDS”. God has designed it in such a way the through “SENT WORDS”, his people are preserved, healed, delivered and prosperous.
Who is a prophet of God? A Prophet of God is someone whom God has chosen to bring God’s word to pass in your life – He does it by praying for you, covering you, pastoring you, counselling and watching over your soul. He’s God’s voice to you. He’s a SPEAKING AND A TEACHING PROPHET! He guides, teaches and speaks
Matthew 10: 41(KJV)
He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.
Matthew 10: 41(TLB)
If you welcome a prophet because he is a man of God, you will be given the same reward a prophet gets. And if you welcome good and godly men because of their godliness, you will be given a reward like theirs.
A prophet is a man sent from God to you! The Living Bible Version makes it clearer; a genuine prophet comes in the name of the Lord, he also comes with the blessings of the Lord and he is supposed to be received as a man of God. The honour you place on a man of God determines the flow of the blessing to you.
Matthew 13: 54 – 58
57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.
58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
Jesus could not do mighty works in HIS HOMETOWN, because of their unbelief. Unbelief breeds dishonour. Your receiving is tied to the value and the honour you have placed on the man that God has sent you.
2 Chronicles 20: 20(KJV)
And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
The word “prosper” in this scripture is translated from the Hebrew word “TSALACH”, it means to advance forcefully. God uses the word of his servant to cause you to advance forcefully. The words comes with forces of blessing in such a way that nothing can hinder or barricade it.
Matthew 10: 41
