The Revelation Of Jesus

Matthew 16: 17 – 19 (KJV)
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Peter’s declaration of Jesus Christ as the Son of God was given to him by revelation. Hence, Jesus said “flesh and blood did not reveal this to you”. Revelation is beyond the sense realm or human reasoning. It is an act of the supernatural power of God to make a man see, hear or know depths in God

The phrase “Son Of God” in this context does not mean “A son born by God”, it actually means “God in the flesh”, that was why the Jews got angry and picked up stones when Jesus declared himself as one with the Father, because they understood what he meant, it connotes equality with God; that is, God in the flesh.

In the 18th verse of scripture above, Jesus replied Peter, He said “Upon this rock, I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”

What Rock? The confession of Peter that Jesus Christ is the son of the living God (God in the flesh). The church of Jesus Christ can only experience the growth God intends through making men see and know Jesus. God has nothing to offer outside Jesus. (For it pleased the Father that in Him (Jesus) should all fullness dwell – Colossians 1:18 KJV). The revelation of Jesus is what the world needs; the eyes of their understanding must be enlightened to see Jesus. The message is JESUS! Jesus is the center of all attractions; He is the focus of heaven and the song of angels.

The revelation of Jesus will remove doubts, unbelief; heal sickness, diseases and infirmity; it will bring salvation, forgiveness of sins, it will restore hope and bring joy unspeakable.

True and authentic church growth will happen when the eyes of men see Jesus. People who play church haven’t seen Jesus. People who continue in habitual sins haven’t met Jesus; once the veil and the scale drop off their eyes, they will let go of everything that held them captive.

That’s why we pray morning, afternoon and night as a church; prayer must go up daily; we must not give up, we must not be weary in soul winning, in devotion, in prayer, fasting and sacrificial giving. We must give everything to make all men see Jesus.

Let’s glean into Paul’s conviction a bit …

Ephesians 3:9 – 11 (KJV)
9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

Revelation precedes everything. Revelation is powerful. Revelation in God’s kingdom is ultimate reality. We also have a duty just like Paul. We must make all men see, our duty as disciples of Christ Jesus is to make all men see.

This is another thought from Paul that always stirs me up …

Galatians 1: 15 -16 (KJV)
15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me by His grace,
16 To reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the heathen, I conferred not immediately with flesh and blood.

I always think like Paul, we must always think like Paul; that God has called and separated me from the womb. For what purpose? To what end?

To reveal His Son in me. This is the glory of God, the glory of God in a man is nothing but to reveal the Son. You have nothing to offer the world other than to reveal the son. Thank God for all the dreams and aspirations in your heart. But nothing compares to the revelation of Jesus in you and from you to others. This is the glory of God. This is the glory of all glories.

We must do everything to reveal the SON, to make all men see HIM, through our words, interactions, communication, attitude, body language, gestures, committent, loyalty and generosity must be to the end to make all men see and know Jesus; this is what pleases God.

The house of God MUST be filled, we are the ones to do the work; we have a mandate to herald the love of Jesus and to turn many unto righteousness. We will not take a “NO” for an answer until every knee bows to Jesus and surrender to Him. We must never be too tired, too busy or lazy to win souls until the whole earth is flooded with “REVELATION OF JESUS”. This is our life.

TODAY’S DECLARATION
The eyes of my heart are flooded with revelation of Jesus Christ, I continue to apprehend that which Christ had already apprehended for me, I am quickened by the Spirit to know and see Jesus, and through me the glory and the majesty of Christ is seen, Amen. (Please spend more time to pray in the Holy Ghost)
