Be Filled With The Spirit Daily
Ephesians 5: 18 – 19 [KJV]
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
In Acts chapter 19, the believers in the church at Ephesus had already been filled with Spirit. Paul encourages them to be “filled again” with the Spirit in Ephesians 5:
The word translated “filled” in Ephesians 5: 18 means “a continuous and consistent action.” So Paul was actually telling the believers at Ephesus to “BE BEING FILLED with the Spirit.”
There is an initial infilling of the Holy Ghost which is the baptism in the Holy Ghost, but there are many refilling throughout your life. Being filled with the Spirit is not simply a one-time event. It is a continuous and lifelong experience. There’s no stopping in the Spirit life. It is an ever increasing life of fire and refreshing. It is daily and always.
The Anointing of God’s Spirit in a man’s life places Him above and beyond anywhere. The Holy Spirit in a believer is the source of this anointing, and in fact He is the Anointing. Our eternal impact on people is dependent on how usable and pliable we have become in His hands and in our fellowship with Him.
The more spiritual a believer becomes, the better He will be able to bless and impart other believers and unbelievers too. The Spirit explodes in a man and turns him to be another man. The release of the Spirit upon a man is all that is needed to distinguish him from others who are not spiritually minded.
Romans 6: 8 (KJV)
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
To be spiritually minded is not negotiable for the believer in Christ Jesus. The release of the Spirit upon us brings the infinite gain. The more we receive the inrushing of the spirit, the purer and fervent we become, and the better we can be able to dispense the realities of God via our mortal bodies.
So much happen in us and through us when we are constantly “being filled” with the Spirit. Nothing can be compared to a consistent union with the Spirit; for in such fellowship, all scriptures and other divine matters come to light.
Cherish your time with God, all human comforts are brief, only such discourse which is received inwardly is greatest of all comforts; seek Him always; not just His hands, but His face. Spend time to pray (especially in other tongues), spend time to study the scriptures. These two are omnipotent.
