Giving: My Act Of Worship

Genesis 22:5 (KJV)
And Abraham said unto his young men, “Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.”

This was the first time worship was used in the Bible, and the very first time worship was used in the Bible, it was not related to music, singing or dancing.

According to the law of mention in Bible Hermeneutics (Bible Interpretation), the law of mention suggests that the first time a concept, theme, an idea or a word appears in the Bible, it holds a foundational truth and also sets a precedence for its further development in other texts of the Bible.

By following proper Bible interpretation, the first time Worship was used, it was used for sacrifice, offering and giving, in terms of obedience to God. Abraham worshipped God by giving Isaac as a sacrifice (You know the whole story).

What Abraham did was attempted murder in the eyes of the law, but in the eyes of God, it was worship!

When you think about giving, think worship first!

Anytime you give your offering, tithes or you partner for the furtherance of the gospel, you are actually worshipping God.

God is the first and greatest giver. God loved us, and He GAVE his only Son for us; so we respond by honouring with our substance.

Proverbs 3: 9 (MSG)
Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best.

Whenever God blesses you, the best response is to honour Him with your Finances. Don’t just give, practice giving; it will make you a disciplined believer and mature you to become a steward of the resources God has placed in your hands.

God wants to bless you with much more, but are you faithful in little things?

Luke 10: 11 (TLB)
And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven?

Financial stewardship means “my money is seen as being God’s money“. It is from God, and should be used for God’s purposes and glory.

When God blesses me, the first thing I do is give a portion of it in tithes, offering, to help the needy or to partner with the gospel

Anytime I give to God, I honour God!
Anytime I give to God, It’s an act of my worship

Many of God’s children have deprived themselves of God’s financial blessing because of doubt and stinginess to the things of God.

They can spend money on anything – clothes, shoes, travel, food, rent, drugs, internet; but when it comes to giving tithes, offering or to partner with the gospel, they become numb!

They can be excited at anything, but when it comes to helping people or giving to God, they switch immediately and become offended. It’s a sign of poverty, it’s a broke mindset!

Hear this! You must destroy the yoke that makes you uncomfortable when it comes to giving. You can expect generosity to come to you if you are not generous towards others. Giving will liberate you, your mindset and your belief system.

Listen carefully, Your sustenance is not in your hands!

Your money, your parent, your boss, your savings, your job is not your source. God is the source of your total supply.

Your reaction or response to life challenges determines what sustains you! Are you sustained by God or your needs? Are you powered by faith or fear?

What you have now will never be enough! Human needs are inexhaustible. Doubt and worry will keep you away from prosperity!

Turn that little or not enough money you have now over to God as a seed of faith and an act of worship, it will germinate to bring a harvest. Your seed has power, your seed is an act and an incense of worship!

Luke 6: 38 (KJV)
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again

DECLARATION
My sustenance is not in my hands. God is the source of my total supply! I worship God with my giving. I do not hold back. I am not stingy, I am generous. I am a giver, a big giver and a happy giver. I am blessed, I am rich, I am wealthy and prosperous!
