Absolute Surrender
Jeremiah 29: 13 [KJV] – And ye shall seek me, and fine me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
It is true that God lives in the believer by the Holy Spirit at salvation. God has come home in the believer because of the finished works of Jesus Christ. We are not to search for God anymore; He indwells us now by the Holy Spirit, but actually God yearns for fellowship.
The reason He created us is for fellowship. We are created for worship, to bring Him pleasure at all times. We are not meant to seek to spend time in fellowship with Him.
God does not want an affair; He desires relationship. This is the hallmark of Christianity. Christianity is the relationship between the Father-God and His family.
God does not want an affair. An affair can happen with a strange person, but you cannot have an affair with your spouse, what you have is relationship, fellowship, companionship, intercourse etc.
This is actually what God desires from every believer in Christ Jesus; but this relationship cannot take place without a complete surrender, willingness or readiness. God has never forced anything on us; He always places the choice before us. We must completely surrender everything that tries to take the time of fellowshipping with God.
Psalm 63: 1 – 2 [KJV]
O God thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; to see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
Seeking God is a serious business; it is a lifetime of union with God where walking with God becomes pleasurable; where spending quality time, uninterrupted and undivided attention with God for several hours per day becomes a delight.
We must surrender out time, resources and attention. The result of a deeper fellowship with God is unfathomable; it is always a life of the miraculous. Now is the time to lay it all down to be with God!
DECLARATION
Fellowship is my responsibility. Just as my spirit is one with the Lord at salvation; so also I am one with Him in daily fellowship. I practice absolute surrender!
