As long as I am in the world I am the light of the world.
Jesus said these words to His disciples. Indeed He was the light of the world during his earth walk, he is still the light of the world, and He will always be the light of the world. He is the same yesterday today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
But there is something more; Jesus is no more in this world physically, But He is in each of us; we (believers) are his representatives now on the earth. We are here in this world to take his place and shine as the lights in the world as if He (Jesus) is physically here on the earth.
Matthew 5: 14 – 16 (KJV)
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
We are “The Light of the World”. It is our reality in Christ Jesus, it is our inheritance. It is not a promise, but a statement of fact. We are the lampstands shining in every city. When we act on God’s word and begin to really shine as the light we are in our respective fields and ministries, then every spec from kingdom of darkness will never have its place in our world. It is legally true!
But beyond this legal reality, the vital part is what the world sees and experiences. People don’t care about who you are in Christ, they care about who you are to them. We are the light of the world, the world will see our light through Christ in us and our good works towards them.
The best message in soul winning is about God’s love both in words and actions. We must have plans to feed the hungry, build schools, hospitals; partner with the government to make polices of righteousness for our societies and to make the world a better place.
Dear friend, you’re the light of this world, this is who you are in Christ. You are the city set on a hill, don’t hide yourself, don’t delay or postpone God’s calling on life. This is the time to embark on a legacy of righteousness.
Now is the time to act and be all God has made you to be in Christ. Set forth now, unleash yourself. Shine forth from that community take your world for Jesus. Now is your time. Glory to His name, even us!!!
DECLARATION
I am a burning and a shining light. Everyone is willing to come to my light and the brightness of my rising. The glory and the light of God is in me and I distribute it to ends of the earth.
