Romans 1: 16 [KJV] – For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
The gospel does not bring the power of God, the gospel does not attract the power of God, the gospel is the power of God. The power of God is in the gospel message. It is a wonderful thing to see ourselves used by God as we set forth in the preaching of the gospel. There is nothing like seeing someone pass from eternal damnation to eternal life.
We must communicate the gospel with more than Christian life; we must do it with our lips as well, if we are going to significantly advance the cause of Christ. True biblical communication requires communicating the message through our life and as well as witnessing Jesus on our lips.
Romans 10: 14 (KJV)
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Every one is called to preach! From the moment you received salvation, God has committed to each one of us a ministry, and that ministry is to reconcile men to God. You are saved to save someone else!
A gospel presentation will not be effective unless these four spheres are integrated:
1. A passion for the unsaved
2. An understanding of the gospel message
3. Depending on the Holy Spirit to convict people
4. Delivering the message with great confidence.
The gospel carries the inherent power of God with it, the gospel is not drab, dull or ineffective. The gospel is simply “The Power Of God”. As we preach it, as we communicate it; the power of God manifests and the righteousness of God is revealed. The Holy Spirit quickness the heart of the audience to be receptive to the message.
God will use the unique power of the gospel to cause those without Christ to embrace the Son of God. All it takes is for us to “GO”. The word “GO” in Acts 16: 15 is a matter of commandment, not a suggestion; an urgency to turn many into righteousness and from darkness to light.
We must “GO”, we must preach, we must witness Jesus! We must not recede or decline in our passion to reach the lost. Soulwinning is our major training in discipleship.
Eternity is too long and our time on earth too short to not put priority on the things of greatest value. God placed premium value on the souls of men, that’s the reason he became a man, and yet to die for man. Every Christian should have the goal of reaching the world with the word of God. Every Christian should be a missionary. The love of Christ must compel us!
Start today from that little corner in your area, witness Jesus in your neighborhood, to your family member, your friends and colleagues. Be bold for the master. Never be ashamed to testify of the Lord Jesus, He owns everything, everything in the world and He’s coming back for it.
As you witness Jesus, expect the power of God to manifest, to bring about salvation, healing, restoration and deliverance to anyone that comes in contact with you. What A Blessing!
